Attorney Elizabeth Shardlow founded Shardlow Law, PLLC where she defends parents in protective custody cases and serves as a Guardian ad Litem. She holds a J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law and a bachelor's degree in justice studies from the University of Maine at Augusta, with minors in psychology and business administration.
Before entering the legal field, Elizabeth worked in healthcare and emergency services, where she encountered individuals facing difficult challenges and addressed their needs with compassion and empathy. Her volunteer and professional experiences in policy and civic engagement have equipped her to tackle complex problems head-on.Â
Recognizing Maine's need for quality representation in protective custody cases, Elizabeth focused her legal education on child welfare. She served as a student attorney in the Child Protection Division at the Office of the Maine Attorney General and later at the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic, where she represented parents in protective custody cases and advocated for child victims of domestic violence.
Elizabeth believes in the inherent value of every individual and their potential to succeed, regardless of their circumstances. She is licensed to practice law in Maine.
